Dear Parents & Guardians,
In preparation for a school-wide emergency or bomb threat, Kalei'opu'u Elementary will be practicing its mass evacuation drill on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 @ 9:00 AM (weather permitting). Our backup day for the drill, if it rains, is Wednesday, November 29, 2023. All students & staff will be evacuating to Ho'ae'ae Park. Immediately following the 30-minute exercise, everyone will return to campus and the school day will resume.
Note, that some students will not be participating in the drill due to medical reasons or safety issues. Teachers will be notifying parents if their child is not participating.
Please encourage your child to wear comfortable shoes and cool clothing for the short walk. Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact the school office at 808-675-0266.
